The purpose of Orchard Artworks is to provide a high quality showcase, a marketplace, and a supportive & cooperative fellowship for artists and craftspeople primarily in Bryn Athyn and the tri-county area; to encourage artistic creativity and excellence in craftsmanship; to provide community arts education, and to promote fine art and fine craft as a viable means of livelihood.
Orchard Artworks opened in June of 2001 with the purpose of providing "supportive cooperative fellowship for artists and craftspeople." "Cooperative" is the key word here: We are doing something relatively rare in the art/craft gallery world, and that is to allow the artist to have more involvement in running the gallery as a group, thereby preserving more of the earnings of the artist for the artist. We firmly believe in the possibility of this concept being a success at Orchard Artworks for many years to come.
Thanks for checking out our web site. Come visit the gallery and see all the wonderful items we have to offer!
Exhibiting at Orchard Artworks
Craft and fine artists currently residing in the Montgomery/Bucks/Philadelphia County area are invited to submit applications to the Orchard Artworks, a cooperative gallery, located at 520 Tomlinson Road, Bryn Athyn, PA. New artwork is juried on a monthly basis, and those artists who are accepted are expected to contribute six hours a month to the operation of the gallery. Current hours are First Thursdays 10-4, Friday and Saturday, 10 to 4, and Sunday, 1 to 4. For more information call 215-947-9882 to request an application or download one here.
