Holiday Creativity Workshop
“Block Printing - Holiday Cards,” an opportunity for adults and children 8
years and up to create their own holiday cards, envelopes and gift tags while
exploring the art of block printing. This workshop will be taught by
printmaker/book artist Nicole Patrice Dul, MFA, at the Orchard Artworks on
Sunday, December 11, from 1–4 p.m. The fee of $40 includes materials, handouts,

Holiday Ornament Show
We will open our annual “Holiday Ornament Show” on Sunday, December 4, at
1:00 p.m. Each one-of-kind ornament has been crafted by one of the 40 member
artists. The public is invited to the opening reception at 1:00 p.m., and the
show will continue through Saturday, December 24.
Wildflower Watercolors, by Frank Rose
Orchard Artworks announces the opening of “Wildflower Watercolors,” a show of
original works by painter Frank Rose. This series of botanical watercolors was
commissioned to illustrate “Herbal Medicine of the American Southwest,” a
recently published book by Charles W. Kane. The show opens with a reception at 1
p.m. on Sunday, November 6, and continues through Sunday, November 27.
Rose, a former Bryn Athyn borough resident, is a participating member of the
Artworks.

Bookbinding for Beginners: Part II
This workshop for adults and children 8 years and up, will be the sixth in a

Block Printing
Description: This is a hands-on workshop in which participants will be
exposed to the art of relief printing through woodcuts and linoleum cuts. We
will learn how to print small blocks without the use of a press.

Special hours during the General Church General Assembly
In order to accommodate all the visitors, the Artworks will have extended
days/hours of operation during the assembly. In addition to our normal hours, we
will also be open Monday, June 6, from 10:00 to 4:00, and Tuesday June 7, from
10:00 to 4:00.

As part of the BA/HV Artwalk, come celebrate the Artworks fourth birthday!
Gillian Bedford will be having a special show with her paintings inside the
Artworks. Outside we'll have a new ceramics display, as well as unique cuisine
for the occasion. It will all be happening Saturday, May 21 from 10 am to 4 pm,
with Gillian present at a Meet the Artist reception.
Heirloom Easter Baskets
This show, featuring basketry by Bryn Athyn borough resident and artist Lori
Nelson, opens with a "Meet the
Artist Reception" on Saturday, March 5, 2005, from 1:00–4:00 p.m., and continues
through Saturday, March 26.
“I Found My Heart at Orchard Artworks”
A heart themed group show of one-of-a-kind arts and crafts, opens on
Saturday, February 5, 2005, at the
Artworks. Featured works include wall art, jewelry, glass and wooden items,
pottery, gourds, boxes, cards, journals, and knitwear.
The show continues through Saturday, February 26.
