Holiday Ornament Sale Opening

Our “Sunday at the Orchard” series continues in December with our 4th annual Holiday Ornament Show. Each one-of-a-kind ornament has been crafted by a member artist. A Meet the Artists Reception, to be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., opens the show on Sunday, December 5. The show will continue through the holiday season.

Additional holiday hours: Wednesday, December 22, and Thursday, December 23,
from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Artistic Gift Packaging workshop

A workshop using stenciling, marbling, collage, and printing techniques to create one-of-a-kind wrapping paper, gift bags, cards, and envelopes, will be offered at the Orchard Artworks on Saturday, December 4, 2004, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The workshop fee of $25 includes materials, handouts, and instruction by printmaker/book artist Nicole Patrice Dul. Knitwear Opening

Come see a collection of new handmade one-of-a-kind knitwear, handbags, and pillows by Lenore Plotkin, a Meadowbrook/Abington Township resident.

A Meet the Artist Reception from 1:00–4:00 p.m., on Sunday, November 14, 2004, opens the show, which will continue through Saturday, December 4.

Whimsical Drawings Opening

Pastel artist Megan Orr opens a show with her whimsical chalk drawings featuring children's motifs. "Meet the Artist" reception is Sunday, October 10,from 1:00–4:00 p.m. Show closes Sunday, November 7.

Bryn Athyn Photographer Duo Show

Orchard Artworks will be participating in the Bryn Athyn and Huntingdon Valley Art Walk scheduled for October 1-3, 2004. On Friday, October 1 from 6:00 to 9:00 the Artworks will be opening a show featuring works by Bryn Athyn photographers Rob Andrews and George Graham. Rob will be showing new nature photographs, including new pictures taken at this year's Laurel Family Camp. George Graham, photography instructor, will be showing Photography as Art With Landscapes. The Photos will remain on exhibit through Saturday, October 9.

Making Paper Lanterns

 “Making Paper Lanterns,” a creativity workshop for adults and children 7 years and up, will be offered at the Orchard Artworks on Saturday, August 21, 2004, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The workshop fee of $25 includes materials, handouts, and instruction by printmaker/book artist Nicole Patrice Dul. Dan Lindrooth

Woodworker Dan Lindrooth will be opening a show (with many new bowls to show & sell) beginning Sunday June 13, 2004. Come on the 13th for an opening "Meet the Artist Reception", from 1:00–4:00 p.m., during which Dan will share anecdotes about the trees he has rescued and given new life through his distinctive bowls and decorative objects for the home. The show continues through Saturday, July 3.
