I have always been fascinated with beads, especially glass beads. As a child I would sit with my sister for hours stringing and restringing beads to get them “just right”. Seven years ago I was given the opportunity to make my own glass beads and an obsession was born. I work with molten glass and have gained a new respect for the medium. Glass needs to be coaxed into place, never pushed or bullied. A favorite saying of mine is “I fought the glass and the glass won”.

I enjoy combining colors of glass to create my beads and am very interested in the chemical reactions that I can create by melting glass. I then use my handmade beads to create unique, one of a kind wearable works of art.
