The main focus of my work is the landscape, concentrating on local subjects.
I am interested in interpreting the natural beauty of our area, particularly the parks, farms, and woodlands,
and in the effects of human activity on the landscape.
Recently I have been working on a series of paintings interpreting the beauty of the
Pennypack Creek and surrounding areas, focusing on the our unique public spaces:
Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust and Lorimer Park in Montgomery County, Fox Chase Farm,
and Pennypack Park in Philadelphia. Through these paintings I hope to increase awareness of
the contribution these public areas make to our quality of life and the support necessary to
protect them from development.
I have studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Abington Art Center, and with a group of
plain air artists in Bucks County.
My work appears in private homes and offices in the area, including the Pennypack Environmmental
Center in Philadelphia.
It has been accepted into juried shows including the Bianco Gallery in Buckingham, Windy
Bush Gallery near New Hope, Abington Art Center, Oreland Art Center, Greater Norristown Art League
and Fairmount Park. I have also exhibited at Historic Yellow Springs.
