Linda is a painterly, perceptual, and expressionist artist of water media paintings, monotypes, and, more recently, altered art. She explores and abstracts her visual, intellectual, and imaginary world into abstract, landscape, floral, and figure paintings. She is primarily interested in the use of color, shapes, and texture to convey her message. Rossi believes that knowing other artists and learning to "see" as an artist are important She wants to continue exploring and learning as much as she can about visual representation and how a work of art communicates with the viewer. Rossi became a professional artist in 2004 after completing a long-time career as a librarian. Since 2007 she has devoted herself to art full time, currently living and working in Upper Providence, PA. Her early art training began in Chicago. Later, after settling in the Philadelphia area, she resumed studying by taking course at the University of the Arts, Moore College of Art and Design, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), and the Community Arts Center (CAC) in Wallingford. In 2005 Rossi taught young artists at the Notre Dame Academy in Villanova, PA. In 2006 she completed the Intensive Studies Seminar in Taos, NM, and in 2008 studied with Marilyn Hughey Phillis at the Springmaid Beach Water Media Workshop in Myrtle Beach, SC. Shows and Awards:
