I have been making pots since the early 70's.I have explored the potential of different clay bodies, surface treatments, and firing techniques by taking classes, attending workshops, and apprenticing with a studio potter.

Using a variety of materials and techniques to create functional pieces of art has given me much enjoyment. My greatest satisfaction, however, comes from combining elements-drawing with clay, words with tiles-to complete a piece that is unique.

My interest in mosaics evolved from working in clay as well as my experience with quilting. After initially producing tiles, I was drawn to the idea of merging nostalgia with pattern and palette. Creating tiles with vintage dishes was the result. The spontaneity and strong graphic possibilities of fitting the pieces together adds another dimension to my love of combining elements.
